~ Dangle Stick ~
The dangle stick that we used on Mira is made of heavy chain (3/8, I think)
with a swivel in the middle that prevents twisting of the chain.
A snap clip on the dog end and a 1/4" thick, 1 1/2" X 18" board with rounded
edges fixed to the dragging end through a hole with strong wire.
When she walked it drug along behind her front legs. If she ran/chased it
would flip, bounce and generally bonk her around on her front legs and
belly. At the same time as she'd start to chase I would say loudly (deep and
MEAN, not yelling) "AAhkk, no chasing!"
This was never attached to her except while under my constant supervision.
It could easily get stuck under protruding roots and such.
